Hanging Flower Baskets Reported Stolen From Sendik's

Police were informed that between 12-18 of the baskets were taken, are investigating the apparent crime.

WHITEFISH BAY -- About 12-18 hanging flower baskets valued at $16.99 each were reportedly stolen from Sendik's on July 19, just before 3 a.m.

According to Whitefish Bay police, a resident observed a newer-model white Chevy Malibu with dark tinted windows and a burnt-out rear tail light parked by the hanging flower baskets.

The resident reported a male wearing a white shirt, black shorts and a "fancy hat" standing by the flowers.

The resident told police he tried to confront the suspect, who sped off heading south on Marlborough Drive.

Police contacted Sendik's and reported that no vehicle was seen on one security camera, but will check another security camera for evidence.

Store employees reported that between 12-18 hanging flower baskets had been taken.

Police are continuing to investigate and will know more depending on the video recording from the second store security camera.
