Hit-And-Run Driver Couldn't Escape Police, Other Driver: Report
Police said the driver of a white GMC SUV fled the scene of the crash, with the driver of a red Lexus in pursuit.

WHITEFISH BAY, WI — Police in Whitefish Bay say they arrested the driver of a vehicle that was involved in a hit-and-run crash, but not before a concerned citizen followed the fleeing driver, and wouldn't let them drive away unnoticed.
According to Whitefish Bay police call logs, a Glendale police officer was on patrol at about 9:45 p.m. on Sept. 5 in the area of W. Henry Clay Street and N. Lydell Ave. when he saw two speeding vehicles. Police say the officer radioed for assistance from neighboring departmetns, and officers managed to pull the two vehicles over a short time later.
Police say the vehicles had been involved in a crash on the 130 block of W. Henry Clay Street. Police said the driver of a white GMC SUV fled the scene of the crash, with the driver of a red Lexus in pursuit.

According to police, the driver of the GMC, a 20-year-old Milwaukee man, was arrested for drunken driving. Police say the driver of the Lexus submitted cell phone video from the incident as well as delivering a report of events that she saw.
