House Cleaner Charged for Stealing Credit Card
Police say a woman stole a credit card from a Whitefish Bay woman while employed to clean her home.

A 32-year-old cleaning woman is accused of stealing a Visa card from a Whitefish Bay home while working.
Carla R. Wilson, of Milwaukee, was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Friday with one count of theft. If convicted, she faces up to nine months in prison and $10,000 in fines.

On Oct. 30, a woman living in the 500 block of East Carlisle Avenue contacted the Whitefish Bay Police Department after she discovered a Visa card had been taken from her residence and used at area businesses. The woman told police she contacted T&M Cleaning about the missing card and they said Wilson had admitted to taking the card while cleaning the home and she had since been terminated.
Wilson was interviewed by police on Nov. 30, where she admitted to the theft, saying she had no excuse for taking it other than being “broke and needing money.”

She will make her initial appearance in court Dec. 18.
