Whitefish Bay senior Maya Jonas will play basketball for the Northwestern Wildcats after she graduates this year.
According to WisSports.net, the 6-foot-2 guard/forward gave a verbal commitment to play for the Big Ten college next year.
Jonas was named a second-team All North Shore selection, despite sitting out half of last season for a torn ACL. She averaged 11.2 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game during the 13 games she played last season, according to WisSports.

WBA Prestige director Moya Baylis told WisSports that Jonas has received scholarship offers from elite basketball programs across the country, including Michigan, Indiana, Marquette and Wisconsin.
