​Package Fraud Reported on Lake Drive; 17 Grams Pot Found During Traffic Stop

A Whitefish Bay woman found a suspicious package on her front porch with a combat knife inside; A traffic stop turned into drug charges.

Package Fraud Reported on Lake Drive

Officers responded to the 5900 block of N. Lake Drive for a fraud complaint. The resident there reported delivery by UPS of two packages (Next Day Service) that she did not order. One package contained a combat knife, the second contained a Lenox place setting for one. The knife was received on 2-21-17 and the Lenox place setting was received today.
The owner of the residence has since contacted both companies and is shipping the items back. Extra watch was requested of the home.

Whitefish Bay police initiated a traffic stop on a blue Dodge in the Amstar parking lot, 303 E Hampton Rd for speeding on April 1 at just before 2 a.m.
Operator Alton Bufford was taken into custody for OWI Drug 1st, Possession of THC, and Paraphernalia. Bufford was transported to Columbia St. Mary's Milwaukee for a legal blood draw and later taken to the WFPD for processing. The 20-year-old Milwaukee man. was found with 17.3 grams marijuana, scale, and grinder located in the vehicle. He was initially stopped for 17 mph over the limit.
