POLICE BLOTTER: Assist on Armed Robbery Case, the Obvious Fraudster, Drunk Driving Arrest

Assist on Armed Robbery Case May 24

Whitefish Bay police assisted Glendale police in taking a subject into custody after a vehicle pursuit and foot pursuit in the area of 9th and Hadley. According to police, the occupants of the vehicle were involved in an armed robber at the Motel 6, 5485 N. Port Washington Rd. The vehicle and primary actor in the robbery was taken into custody after being tazed, police say.

Police say they arrested a 41-year-old Milwaukee woman after an apparent retail theft at Sendik's, 500 E. Silver Spring Dr. 

A Rather Obvious Fraudster May 26

Police say a Whitefish Bay resident informed them that they received a voicemail message from someone claiming to be with the IRS and that he was being sued. The caller was advised that the call is an attempted scam. 

Drunk Driving Arrest May 27

Police stopped a vehicle on the 5000 block of N. Ardmore Ave. for an expired registration and a "stop line" violation. Upon investigation, officers reportedly observed signs of intoxication in the driver, a 23-year-old Milwaukee woman. The driver was arrested on suspicion of OWI 1st offense and an intoximeter test reported a BAC of 0.16.

Drunk Driving Arrest May 27

Police stopped a vehicle for a speed violation on the 4900 block of N. Santa Monica Blvd. The driver, a 60-year-old Milwaukee man, had been arrested on suspicion on OWI 1st offense. An intoximeter test resulted in a BAC of 0.17.
