POLICE BLOTTER -- Copper Thief Stopped, OWI, Funnel Ball Damaged

No "Fun" June 7
The Funnel Ball playground equipment at Cumberland School was damaged sometime on June 6. The estimated damage by unknown vandals is estimated at $800.

A vehicle was broken into on the 6000 block of N. Shoreland Ave. Police say the suspect fled after being discovered.
Car Damaged after Break-In June 7

A minivan was damaged on the 4700 block of Sheffield Ave. The caller reported that the ignition had been "punched out."
Moving Violation turns into Arrest June 8
Police stopped a car for a stop-line violation on the intersection of E. Cumberland Blvd. and N. Lake Drive. The driver, a 19-year-old Milwaukee man was taken into custody for operating a vehicle with a restricted controlled substance.
OWI June 9
A 26-year-old Port Washington female was taken into custody after she was pulled over for operating a motor vehicle after revocation - OWI-related on the 100 block of E. Hampton Rd.
Copper Stopped June 9
A 40-year-old West Allis man was arrested for theft after a Whitefish Bay police officer observed him loading stolen copper into the rear of a Scott's Fertilizer truck he was driving. The truck was towed to the DPW with copper and inventoried. The truck was released to the owner after the tow bill was paid.
OWI June 10
A 19 year old Mequon woman arrested for OWI and a 19 year old Shorewood woman arrested for Under age liquor violation after a traffic stop on the 6000 block of N. Lake Drive. Police stopped a silver Mercedes after observing the vehicle swerving and drifting within its lane. The driver was given an intoximeter test which reported a BAC of 0.09.
