POLICE BLOTTER - June 7: The Obvious OWI, Missing Person Found, Spouting Off, Stolen Bike
All information is gathered from the Whitefish Bay weekly police reports. Here are your notable - and unusual - calls from the last week.

Spouting Off
May 28
Police responded to a home on the 4600 block of N. Murray Ave. on a report of a theft. When officers arrived, they learned copper downspouts had been removed with a total value of $1,000.
Trek Moment
May 28
A Trek bicycle valued at $550 was reported stolen from an open garage at a home on the 6100 block of N. Shoreland Ave.
Moving Violations Lead to OWI Charge
May 29
Police arrested a 20-year-old Milwaukee man was pulled over for going 11 over the speed limit, a defective brake light, and failure to stop for stop sign. When officers conducted the stop, the driver was cited for OWI-1st offense. The man was transported to the Whitefish Bay PD where intoximeter tests recorded a BAC of 0.18.
Missing Person Found Next Day - in Madison
May 29
Police responded to a home on the 1000 block of E. Henry Clay St. on a report of a man's daughter missing. The father had heard through a third-party that his daughter may be at his mother's home in Madison. Madison police reportedly located the daughter the next day at the mother's residence. The daughter was taken into custody and conveyed to the Dane County Juvenile Center. The father was notified and stated he would pick up his daughter.
Hit-and-Run
May 30
A black Mercedes sedan reportedly forced one vehicle off the road and struck the boat trailer of a property owner on the 800 block of E. Silver Spring Drive.
Bike Theft
May 30
A woman's black and red Trek mountain bike valued at $400 had been stolen from the shared basement of their apartment building at the 5200 block of N. Santa Monica Blvd.
No Duck Left Behind
May 31
With the help of the DPW, 8 ducklings were rescued from a storm drain and returned to their mother near the intersection of N. Marlborough Drive and E. Chateau Place. Two other ducklings had perished by the time police responded.
Bike Stolen
June 1
A bike valued at $60.00 was reported stolen from Holy Family School, 4849 N. Wildwood. It was an 18-speed silver bike with green lettering on it.
Trouble in the Yard
June 2
An unknown actor used a flower pot to smash a decorative yard lamp on a brick pillar on the south side of the driveway at a home on the 4600 block of N. Lake Drive. Damage estimated at $300.
Package Theft
June 3
A resident on the 4600 block of N. Cramer St. reported that two packages valued at $134 had been stolen from the front of her home as she was entering the side door of her house.
Too Much Water
June 3
A possible water main break near N. Lake Drive and E. Fairmount Ave. turned out to not be a water main break, but a man on the 5000 block of N. Lake Ave. draining a children's swimming pool.
OWI
June 4
An officer initiated a traffic stop on the 4800 block of N. Lake Drive for a 27 year old Whitefish Bay man reportedly driving 12 mph over speed limit. The driver was taken into custody for suspicion of OWI and registered a BAC of 0.12 after an intoximeter test at the Whitefish Bay police department.
