Police Blotter: Lawnmower Stolen, OWI, After-Hours in a Park

Friday, April 22:

Milwaukee arrested for OWI

Police stopped a driver a the 4600 block of N. Lake Drive for failing to stop at a stop sign just after 2:30 a.m. Friday morning. The driver, a 29-year-old Milwaukee woman, was taken into custody for Operating While Intoxicated - First Offense. A breath test resulted in a BAC of 0.16. The driver was released to their residence early the next morning.

After hours in Big Bay Park
An officer reported an unoccupied black Nissan parked in the 5000 block of N Palisades Road. The officer made contact with a man in Big Bay Park at just after 2:39 a.m. The officer subjected the man, 36, Milwaukee, to a preliminary breath test and determined the man was too intoxicated to drive. The man was cited for being in a park after hours and was directed to leave his car parked and to walk home.

Lawnmower Stolen

An officer was dispatched to the 4800 block of N. Cumberland Blvd. on a report of a theft. The property owner said an unknown person stole their Craftsman Self-Propelled lawn mower from the parkway grass on the east side of the road. The owner's name was reportedly spray painted in orange on the handle. The lawnmower was reportedly valued at $350.

Tuesday, April 26:
Driving with a suspended license

A vehicle was stopped on the 150 block of E. Silver Spring Dr. for a driver, 19, Milwaukee, making an improper turn. The driver was taken into custody for a warrant through the Grafton Police Department. The Driver was issued a citation for Operating While Suspended.

Friday, April 29:
OWI and Speeding

A 34 year old Whitefish Bay man was stopped driving 47 mph in a 30 mph zone along the 4900 block of N. Santa Monica Blvd just before 1:39 a.m Friday. The man was cited for OWI. A blood alcohol test administered at the police department resulted in a BAC of 0.17.

Saturday, April 30:

Driving on a flat tire, crossing the centerline

A 32 year old Milwaukee man was reportedly driving on a flat tire, crossed the center line, and was operating below the posted speed limit along the 6200 block of N. Lake Drive just after 2:30 a.m. on Saturday morning. The driver was taken into custody for OWI.
