A Police Call that Really Stinks

Officers respond to an animal complaint call ... and it's a skunk.

WHITEFISH BAY - Police officers respond to all kinds of problems in the community to help people, but sometimes the unexpected is, well, really unexpected.

On May 28, two Whitefish Bay police officers responded to the 900 block of Hampton Ave. for an animal complaint.

The animal turned out to be a skunk.

When officers arrived, they observed that a skunk had its head stuck in a Culver's beverage cup.

Officers were able to track down the skunk and remove the cup from the skunk's head, however the lid was stuck around the neck and the skunk ran off.

There is no word whether the skunk went back to Culvers for a refill.
