Police Calls for July 18-19: Phone Scam; Car vs. Bicycle; Car vs. Tree; Neighbors Report Disorderly Conduct

July 18
Phone Scam
A resident on the 5800 block of N. Shoreland Ave. reported that two recorded phone calls from area code 701 claimed to be from the IRS and said they were going to sue the resident unless they called the IRS.
Police advised this was a scam and to delete the phone messages.
Car vs. Bicycle
A driver was cited for failure to yield the right of way, and a cyclist was cited for not having required lighting after a car struck a bicycle rider on the 1200 block of ave. Fairmount Ave just before 11 p.m. on July 18. The bicycle rider reported having a sore back, but did not require transport to an area hospital.

July 19
Erratic Driver
A 21 year old Milwaukee woman was taken into custody after she was reported as an erratic diver on the 4800 block of N. Newhall. Glendale police located the vehicle stopped in the southbound shoulder of Highway 43. The driver was taken into custody on 2 West Milwaukee Police warrants.

Car vs Tree
The driver of a vehicle suffered an apparent medical emergency just after 5 p.m. on July 19, causing their vehicle to roll across an intersection at N. Lydell Ave. and W. Hampton Ave.
According to the report, the vehicle rolled into traffic across the intersection, over a curb and into a tree on Estabrook Park in the City of Milwaukee.
Disorderly Conduct
A 19 year old Whitefish Bay man and 19 year old Whitefish Bay woman were cited for disorderly conduct and loitering after numerous neighbors in the 4900 block of N. Anita Ave. heard the two yelling at each other. According to the report, the two had entered an unlocked vehicle without permission.
Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest
A 28 year old Lake Mills woman was arrested with two open warrants through the City of Delafield after a traffic stop was conducted by Whitefish Bay police on the 5000 block of N. Palisades Rd.
