State Sen. Darling lauds Whitefish Bay, Homestead High Schools for Top Rankings
Whitefish Bay High School is ranked the top high school in the state and Homestead is number nine in national ranking.

MADISON - When Whitefish Bay High School and Homestead earned high marks on a national schools ranking recently, State Senator Alberta Darling says she is not surprised by the high rankings.
"When I toured the schools in the 8th Senate District, I was impressed with what I saw," Darling said, "Our schools are preparing students for the real world of work with innovative and time-tested techniques."
Whitefish Bay High School is ranked the top high school in the state and Homestead is number nine according to the U.S. News and World Report's ranking which was released earlier this week.
U.S. News and World Report ranks the best schools in each state and nationwide.
Whitefish Bay is ranked 194 in the nation. Homestead is ranked 596 nationally. "Whitefish Bay's average ACT score has been over 25 for the last 16 straight years. Homestead High has the highest ACT score on the Northshore," Darling said in a release issued Wednesday. "Both of these schools exceed at preparing children for college and for careers."
Senator Darling represents portions of Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Washington and Waukesha Counties.
