Sussex Woman Charged in Whitefish Bay Crash

A Sussex woman is facing her third drunk driving charge after she got into an accident Monday in Whitefish Bay.

Cindy L. Lacy, 53, was charged in Milwaukee County Circuit Court Thursday with one count of third offense operating while intoxicated. If convicted, she faces up to one year in Milwaukee County Jail and $2,000 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint:

Police were called to the 200 block of Montclaire Avenue Monday after Lacy was involved in a two car accident. When police arrived she was sitting in her car with a bloody lip.

Lacy told officers she had been drinking at a friend’s house, but declined to say how much. She was unable to complete a field sobriety test and her blood alcohol amounts are not yet known.

She was previously convicted of OWI in 1989 and 2008. Lacy is currently free on $850 cash bail while awaiting trial.
