Three Drunken Drivers Caught Over the Weekend

Holiday weekend gets off to a bad start with drinking and driving.

Whitefish Bay police made three drunken driving arrests in the first two days of the three-day holiday weekend:

  • A 23-year-old Minnesota man's blood alcohol content was more than double the legal limit when he was pulled over in the 5100 block of North Lake Drive at 3 a.m. Saturday. With a blood alcohol content of 0.18, he was seen driving northbound in the southbound lane and was cited for drunken driving. Other passengers in the car included a 23-year-old man, a 22-year-old girl and a 22-year-old man.

  • A 50-year-old Whitefish Bay man was pulled over at 3:30 a.m. Saturday because both of his headlights were out, but when officers pulled him over in the 5700 block of North Kent Avenue, they realized he had a bigger problem. He was taken into custody for his first offense of drunken driving after failing field sobriety tests, and his blood alcohol content measured 0.10.
