Three Times the Legal Limit: Whitefish Bay Police Arrest Driver With 'Dangerous Level of Intoxication'

Statistical data suggests female's level of intoxication is point where death can occur.

WHITEFISH BAY - A 31-year-old Milwaukee female was arrested for OWI-2nd after police stopped her vehicle near the intersection of N. Lake Drive and E. School Road on Saturday evening just before 11 p.m.


Police transported the female to the Whitefish Bay police station. An INTOX breath test revealed that her BAC was 0.29 - more than three times the legal limit.


According to available data, that level of intoxication is considered "extremely dangerous."

According to a state Alcohol Abuse Prevention website, if the female were between 120-140 lbs. in weight, she would have needed to consume between 8-10 drinks in a 1-3 hour period to reach a similar level of intoxication.


The chart indicated that death is possible at that level of intoxication.

The female was cited for multiple traffic citations, and a state charge of operating after revocation/OWI related.


The female was released to a responsible party about two-and-a-half hours after the traffic stop was made.
