Waukesha Hit-And-Run Driver Arrested In Whitefish Bay: Report

Whitefish Bay police learned that the driver had been involved in a possible hit-and-run accident in Waukesha, reports said.

WHITEFISH BAY, WI -- Police in Whitefish Bay say the driver of a vehicle involved in a Waukesha hit-and-run was pulled over and arrested in Whitefish Bay later that evening.

According to police reports, an officer on patrol in the 1300 block of E. Hampton Road just after midnight on April 27 saw a suspicious vehicle.

Reports stated that the driver, a 54-year-old Glendale man came close to striking the curb several times and also came close to coming to a complete stop in the middle of the road several times.

According to reports, Whitefish Bay police learned that the driver had been involved in a possible hit-and-run accident in Waukesha and that the driver was possibly impaired.

Police said they pulled the driver over in the 1300 block of E. Hampton Road and determined that he was driving impaired because of prescription medication. Police said he was cited for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence - first offense.
