Whitefish Bay Man Blocks Driver, Says None Shall Bypass

An incident of road rage last week came about after a resident on the 700 block of E. Beaumont Ave. apparently had enough of the traffic.

WHITEFISH BAY -- A resident on Beaumont Ave. has apparently had enough of passing cars using his street as a bypass to avoid a nearby traffic light.

On July 27, a man came into the Whitefish Bay Police Department on a driving complaint.

According to the report, a man told police that on July 25, he was driving eastbound on the 700 block of E. Beaumont Ave. when the resident at 740 E. Beaumont Ave. intentionally backed out of his driveway, blocking his path.

The man reportedly got out of his blocked car and confronted the resident, who told him to not use his street as a bypass to avoid the traffic light at Silver Spring and Lake Drive.

The driver of the blocked car reportedly told the resident an insult.

Police made contact with both parties, and advised both on the dangers of road rage.
