Whitefish Bay Mom Accused of Picking Up Her Child From School Drunk
Suspect, 40, had a blood alcohol level of 0.19 when she went to pick up her child at Richards School Tuesday.

A Whitefish Bay woman is facing drunk driving charges after she allegedly went to pick up her child from Tuesday while she was drunk.
According to the criminal complaint, Whitefish Bay police were called to the school after staff could smell alcohol coming from the woman’s breath when she came to pick up her child.
The 40-year-old woman then went and sat in her Land Rover in front of the school, where an officer then pulled up behind her.

She told the officer she had one glass of wine earlier in the day, but she performed poorly on field sobriety tests and had a blood alcohol level of 0.19 at the time, which is more than twice the legal limit to drive in Wisconsin.
She is charged with one count of operating while intoxicated with a child under 16 in the vehicle and one count of operating a motor vehicle with a prohibited alcohol concentration. If convicted, she could face up to six months in prison and $1,100 in fines.
