According to the Journal Sentinel's report, she was so honored for her work as a standout runner in the 800 and 1,600 meter run events. That's where Davre repeated as Division 1 state champion in both events at the WIAA State Track championships held in early June.
According to the Journal Sentinel, she fought off Middleton's Samantha Valentine and Waukesha West's Langer sisters, Emma and Becca, to win the 800 for the third straight season, posting a time of 2 minutes 11.13 seconds. The next day Davre posted a season-best time of 4:46.40 in the 1,600, according to wisconsintrack.com, to beat Valentine and Aubrey Roberts of Eau Claire Memorial, who set the 3,200 record on the first day of the meet and beat Davre in the state cross country championships in the fall. The victory gave Davre three straight state titles in the 1,600 as well.
