3. Trapper men pick up big wins (powelltribune.com) — Casper College's men's soccer team jumped out to a 2–0 lead but ultimately fell 6–2 to Northwest College in a Region IX matchup, before Northwest went on to edge Gillette. Casper man captured in Wisconsin pleads guilty on cocaine conspiracy case; 2 co-conspirators sentenced (oilcity.news) — A Casper man has pleaded guilty in Natrona County court to conspiracy and possession charges in a cocaine case that also involved a high-speed chase east of town. Two co-conspirators and another local defendant have already been sentenced, with one ordered into Adult Drug Court and another receiving a suspended sentence after making progress in addiction recovery.
5. What will 'super' El Nino bring to landlocked, parched Wyoming? (wyofile.com) — Casper residents can expect a somewhat less windy winter and potentially better snow at nearby Hogadon as a powerful El Nino reshapes Wyoming's weather. Forecasters say southern and central areas, including around Casper, may see higher precipitation, while northern regions stay drier, offering some hope for drought relief after last year's sparse snowpack and heat.
