A Laramie County judge has set a firm Sept. 22 trial date after multiple delays, and investigators describe disturbing allegations about the boy's treatment at the couple's Cheyenne home and subsequent hospitalization in Denver.
   

2. South's Jaelyn Brown and East's Abby James and teammates also hit strong qualifying marks and state standards, setting up an exciting set of finals for local high school fans today.

Dendroctonus ponderosae flight in a suburban environment in Cheyenne, Wyoming (usda.gov) — Researchers studied mountain pine beetle flight at the High Plains Grasslands Research Station just northwest of Cheyenne, using baited funnel traps among ponderosa pines. Their detailed 2011 fieldwork and weather data help scientists better understand beetle activity that can affect regional trees, shelterbelts, and landscapes around the Cheyenne area.
