3. Wyoming becomes 50th state to join maternal care alliance (newsfromthestates.com) — Wyoming has finally joined a national maternal health alliance, and Cheyenne's accredited freestanding birth center and Cheyenne Regional Hospital are central to the state's strategy. 4. Firefighting Planes Refuel In Cheyenne, Wheatland Fire (kgab.com) — Firefighting planes buzzed low over Cheyenne to refuel as they battle the fast-growing Moonshine Fire near Wheatland, now about 1,300 acres with no containment. Crews from multiple agencies and specialized aircraft, including turboprop water bombers, are attacking the blaze amid dry, windy conditions, while residents are urged to heed fire restrictions statewide.
