LMC 2026 Discovery Award Winners: Students Earn Nearly $25K (fortscott.biz) — Central High School in Cheyenne is celebrating student Noah Make, who earned the $6,000 Grand Prize in a national "unsung heroes" documentary competition, and teacher Aaron Kruger, who received a $1,000 Outstanding Educator Award. Their work, recognized by the Lowell Milken Center in Kansas, showcases how Cheyenne students are gaining national attention for powerful storytelling about overlooked historical figures.
4. Feds say Rawlins man distributed 23 pounds of methamphetamine in Wyoming; 18 years imposed (capcity.news) — A major meth trafficking investigation that touched Cheyenne, Casper, Rawlins and several other Wyoming counties has ended with an 18-year federal sentence for Rawlins resident Denny Jason Shrove, held responsible for redistributing at least 23 pounds of meth. Part of the case involved a 2025 traffic stop at a Cheyenne Love's truck stop, where troopers reportedly found multiple drugs hidden in his vehicle, underscoring federal efforts to curb regional narcotics networks.
