4. Energy bill assistance program now accepting applications (wyomingnewsnow.tv) — Cheyenne residents struggling with winter heating costs can now apply for Wyoming's Low Income Energy Assistance Program, which is open from October 1 through April 30. The program helps eligible households with a portion of heating bills and offers extra crisis aid for emergencies like shutoff notices or broken furnaces, with income limits based on household size.
5. Officials discuss the seven individuals federally sentenced for roles in multi-county drug-trafficking ring (wyomingnewsnow.tv) — Federal and state officials in Cheyenne announced sentences totaling more than 83 years for seven people tied to a multi-county meth trafficking ring that operated across several Wyoming counties, including Laramie. Speaking at the Joseph C. O'Mahoney Federal Center, authorities highlighted the large quantities of drugs seized and praised the interagency work that dismantled the organization.
