• WYG&F to Focus CWD Sampling in Big Horn Basin Hunt Areas (sheridanmedia.com) — Hunters around Powell are being asked to submit deer and elk samples for chronic wasting disease testing, with a convenient head-drop barrel at Northwest College on the south side of the Science and Math Building. Mandatory sampling applies in several nearby hunt areas, and Game and Fish is stepping up check stations and field collection to monitor a known CWD hot spot in the Big Horn Basin.
