2. Multiple homes evacuated in Riverton 'out of an abundance of caution' Monday evening due to gas leak in West Monroe area (county10.com) — Riverton residents near West Monroe, Spire, Summit, Cliff, and Peak Drives were evacuated Monday night after a natural gas line was struck, prompting a large response from the Riverton Fire Department and Black Hills Energy. Officials say the three-block area may stay closed overnight and are urging everyone to avoid the neighborhood so crews can safely isolate and repair the damaged main.
3. Wyoming woman killed after vehicle pulling boat fishtails, crashes near Riverton (oilcity.news) — A 36-year-old Wyoming woman was killed Saturday afternoon when her Nissan, towing a boat trailer, began fishtailing on Rendezvous Road between Riverton and Hudson and rolled off the roadway. Wyoming Highway Patrol investigators say speed may have contributed, while road and weather conditions likely did not, and they emphasize the victim was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
4. Moss, Clapp and Rieman Top 10 at Worland XC (county10.com) — Riverton cross-country runners turned in strong performances at the Worland Invitational, with junior Ridge Rieman cracking the boys' top 10 and freshman Robin Clapp finishing fourth in the girls' race. The Wolverines' boys and girls teams both placed respectably against a deep field of Wyoming programs, giving local fans a clear look at how Riverton stacks up heading into the rest of the season.
5. Central Wyoming College student Giana Biagioni receives $10,000 scholarship at National Western Groundbreaking (county10.com) — Central Wyoming College in Riverton is celebrating student Giana Biagioni, who earned a prestigious $10,000 equestrian scholarship connected to the National Western Stock Show. Her success highlights the hands-on training and growing opportunities at CWC's Rustler Ag & Equine Complex in Riverton, where students blend classroom learning with real-world experience in horsemanship, ranch management, and agricultural leadership.
