1. Public Notice #12174 (pcrecordtimes.com) — Platte County commissioners met in Wheatland on September 15, approving more than $359,000 in vouchers, including major utility payments to the Town of Wheatland and funds for courthouse renovations. They also approved a special use permit for a fiber-optic amplification station, held executive sessions on litigation and personnel, and addressed questions about nondisclosure agreements, which a commissioner publicly denied.

Public Notice #12179 - Platte County Record-Times (pcrecordtimes.com) — Wheatland residents have a chance tonight to weigh in on a new sign for FPM Pizza at 757 Gilchrist Street and a proposed amendment to the town's sign code. The Planning and Zoning Commission will hold the public hearing at Town Hall at 6 p.m., with application documents available at the Planning and Zoning office beforehand.
   

3. Wyoming High School Volleyball Scoreboard for September 29-October 3, 2026 (k2radio.com) — Wheatland volleyball fans can celebrate a straight-set conference win over Glenrock and look ahead to more league action this week. The Bulldogs host Burns on Thursday at 6 p.m. and then travel to Torrington on Friday afternoon, as WyoPreps lays out the full statewide volleyball schedule and results for Sept. 29–Oct. 3.
   

4. Adene Marthel Riley (pcrecordtimes.com) — Friends and neighbors are invited Sunday, Oct. 4, to a celebration of life for longtime Wheatland resident Adene Marthel Riley at the First State Bank Conference Center. Born, raised, and educated in Wheatland, she was known for ranching, guiding, storytelling, and deep local knowledge, and her family suggests memorial donations to animal welfare groups.
