This Week's Powerball Jackpot Grows to $450 Million

The largest lottery jackpot in nearly a year is enticing California residents to plunk down some money for tickets.

A $450 million Powerball jackpot, the largest payoff in nearly a year, is up for grabs.

Wednesday’s drawing is for the estimated $450 million jackpot; that would be the biggest winner since a $564.1 million jackpot was won Feb. 11, 2015, according to the Powerball website.

The cash option payout for Wednesday’s drawing is estimated at $275.4 million.

The Powerball drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday at 7:59 p.m. local time. Check for results at the California Lottery’s Powerball site to see if you’ve won.

The California Lottery is one of 45 lotteries nationwide that participate in the Powerball drawing. Tickets can be purchased at any lottery vendor of more than 22,000 California Lottery retail locations.
