Semi Carrying Junk Cars Overturns, Catches Fire

HERCULES, CA — There were no injuries when a semi truck carrying a load of cars rolled over on the connector ramp from westbound Highway 4 to westbound I-80. A few of the cars caught fire.

Rodeo-Hercules firefighters responded to the scene to snuff out the flames.

Traffic was detoured through Willow Avenue until the crash could be cleaned up.

The crash was reported around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The CHP is investigating the cause of the crash.

Crockett Fire responded with Water Tender 78 to provide additional water.
