Bridgeport Police Seize Fentanyl Pills, Cocaine And Other Drugs From East Side House

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Bridgeport police and FBI task force officers seized fentanyl pills, cocaine, heroin and marijuana while searching an East Side house Wednesday night, according to authorities.

Officers and detectives found 1,555.82 grams of fentanyl pills, 209.19 grams of cocaine, 2.4 grams of heroin and 1,704.08 grams of marijuana at a house on Ohio Avenue in Bridgeport.

Investigators also found a press used to compress powdered narcotics into kilograms, along with other narcotics packaging equipment and materials, police said.

"This seizure is the result of outstanding investigative work," Bridgeport Police Chief Roderick Porter said in a statement. "Preventing these dangerous narcotics from reaching the public has saved lives in Bridgeport and elsewhere."

Officers and detectives also executed a search warrant Wednesday night at Morales Market, at Kossuth and Jane streets in Bridgeport, as well as at two locations in Shelton. No evidence was found at the market or the Shelton addresses.

Police said probable cause to search the locations was presented to prosecutors and a judge, who signed the search warrants.

The warrants are part of an ongoing investigation that is expected to be adopted federally. Arrests are anticipated, police said.
