Family Centers to Mark 'Week of the Young Child' in Greenwich
There is a series of programs planned with the youngsters participating in a Greenwich Avenue parade.

Family Centers’ Early Care and Education program will kick off a weeklong schedule of activities on April 6 in celebration of the “Week of the Young Child”.
Sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the Week of the Young Child is an annual observance that focuses public attention on the needs of young children and their families. The celebration also puts the spotlight on local early childhood programs and their services.
Throughout the week, Family Centers’ three NAEYC-accredited preschool sites in Greenwich will hold special events including art shows, reading activities and child/parent art projects that will culminate at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 9 with a parade up Greenwich Avenue with nearly 200 preschoolers from the Family Centers’ facilities.

Family Centers’ Early Care and Education program is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), which is largely considered the gold standard for preschool programs. Family Centers provides preschool services that are developmentally and socially rich for .
Family Centers provides services to children between the ages of 6-weeks and five years at the Joan Melber Warburg Early Childhood Center, Arch Street Preschool and Gateway Preschool.
