Got Lunch? A New Spin on Fly Fishing in Greenwich

Amateur photographer Joe DeMarte captures an osprey flying in for the catch near Indian Harbor Yacht Club.

Amateur photographer Joe DeMarte enjoys boating and fishing along the Greenwich waterfront — so much so that he’s been doing it for five decades.

DeMarte, who uses the moniker “Boatographer,” took this photo near Indian Harbor Yacht Club in Greenwich.

Here’s his description: “I took this photo of an Osprey (aka “Sea Hawk”) as it dove, caught a fish for lunch (the fish is a bunker) and is taking back off with it tightly grasped in its talons so it can find a tree nearby to land and gobble it down.”
