Some Greenwich Schools Delay Opening of Classes for Monday

The winter weather forecast has forced schools to decide on whether to delay classes on Monday. Read the article for details.

All Greenwich Public Schools have a two-hour delay in opening for classes on Monday, Jan. 12.

“All schools will have a 2-hour delayed opening today due to anticipated icy conditions this morning,” according to an announcement posted on the school website.

Also announcing two-hour delays are Stanwich, Brunswick and Greenwich Catholic schools.

Greenwich Academy will start classes at 10 a.m.

An expected mix of snow and sleet has prompted the National Weather Service to issue a hazardous weather outlook and winter weather advisory for the entire state for early Monday into Monday afternoon.
