Skeletal Remains Found In Port Manatee Was Murder Victim: Deputies/Medical Examiner
Investigators are scouring missing persons in Manatee, Hillsborough counties for a man in his 40s or 50s and about 5 feet, 4 inches tall.

MANATEE COUNTY, FL – Skeletal remains found Wednesday by two mosquito control employees behind the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission in Port Manatee belong to a white or Hispanic male who was murdered, according to the county medical examiner and the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
The man died from trauma to the chest area, officials said. The initial autopsy showed the man was 5 feet 4 inches tall and in his 40s or 50s, officials said.
No additional details on the cause or method of death were released, but detectives are investigating the case as a homicide. Investigators are reviewing missing person reports in both Manatee and Hillsborough counties.
