Body Found, Believed To Be Missing Snellville Man

Gwinnett Police say the body was found in the same neighborhood where 67-year-old Trevor Greer went missing.

UPDATE: Wednesday, 9:29 a.m. The body has been identified as Greer’s through fingerprints. An autopsy did not show any signs of foul play, according to a Gwinnett Police news release. He is believed to have died due to the elements. The body was found in several inches of water in the culvert, police said.

Snellville, GA -- Police say a body has been discovered in the neighborhood where a 67-year-old man with diabetes went missing last week.

On Monday, a resident of Mountberry Drive in Snellville called police at about 3 p.m. to report he’d discovered the body of a deceased man in a culvert behind his property, according to a Gwinnett Police news release.

Mountberry Drive is in the same neighborhood where Trevor Greer was reported missing from his home on Thursday.

An autopsy is expected to be performed Tuesday to confirm the body is Greer’s.

Police issued the alert for Greer, of 3856 Etna Drive in unincorporated Snellville, Friday afternoon. It was later upgraded to a Mattie’s Call -- a public notification system designed to help find elderly or disabled missing persons.

In the early morning hours Thursday, a resident of nearby 2853 Quinberry Dr. called police to report that an unknown man was standing on the porch. Later that day, Greer’s wife reported him missing.

At the time, the family said Greer suffered from diabetes and was likely in need of medical care.
