S.T.I.N.G. Inc does it again by hosting another amazing event!
Our 1st Annual Parent and Student Forum, "Life after high school: What's next?", was a success!
S.T.I.N.G. Inc. 1st annual Parent and Student Forum engaged middle and high students as well as parents in a detailed conversation about life after high school. There were speakers who shared information about different areas of studies and career paths. The students gained insight about making choices for their future career. The parent and student forum got students to start thinking about their life after high school. Middle and High school is a great time for students to start making plans to reach their goals of becoming the person they inspire to be in the future. The parent and student forum also helped inspire those students who are undecided about life after high school.
Parents provided positive feedback: The Parent and Student Forum was well planned, organized, informative and fun!

Synopsis:
“Life after high school: What’s next?” was an educational event hosted by S.T.I.N.G. Inc. This event was for middle and high school students with feature speakers discussing entrepreneurship, college, technical college, military, job corps as well as scholarships. This event was helpful to students by providing information about different opportunities that are available to them after high school. The students were provided with insight on how to create a plan of action to achieve their goals. The students also learned the importance of completing resumes, drafting purpose statements, writing essays and researching scholarships to ensure a greater chance of developing a solid foundation to help lead them to the path that they choose to pursue.

S.T.I.N.G. Inc. is a 501C3 nonprofit organization that was created in South Cobb County, Georgia for the purpose of providing mentoring and enrichment programs for youth between the ages of 11-17. Our goal is to make a difference in the lives of youth and encourage them to live productive and balanced lives.
