Video of Police Shooting of Paul O’Neal to Be Released Friday
The 18-year-old was shot in the back by police in South Shore last week.

CHICAGO, IL - The Chicago Police Department says it will release videos related to the police-involved shooting that resulted in the death of 18-year-old Paul O’Neal last week on Friday, WGN reports.

O’Neal was the suspect in an investigation of a stolen car from Bolingbrook. As he was fleeing from police in the South Shore neighborhood, he was shot several times in the back and died.

The three officers involved have been stripped of their police powers. Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson said they violated department policy.
The investigation is now in the hands of the city’s Independent Police Review Authority.
