Ravens Extend Harbaugh's Contract As Head Coach

Coach John Harbaugh signed a contract extension with the Baltimore Ravens.

BALTIMORE, MD - Ravens head coach John Harbaugh can rest a little easier. The organization renewed his contract beyond its 2018 expiration, according to a statement from the BaltimoreRavens.com.

The new agreement means Harbaugh will not be due for a renewal until three years from now.

"I was happy," Harbaugh said of his contract extension during a press briefing Tuesday.

Harbaugh has held the title longer than any other Ravens head coach, coming on board in 2008.

Over the past decade, the team has formed a strong bond, he said, stating: "We have a chance to do great things. We have a chance to win championships. That's the idea."
