Baltimore County Lights Tree In Towson For 2019 Holidays
The Baltimore County tree lighting was Friday, with Santa arriving to help do the honors.

TOWSON, MD — The Baltimore County Tree Lighting dazzled crowds Friday, and there was a special ceremony to accompany the event. Santa arrived by fire truck to help do the honors of illuminating the tree, and Gold Starz Marching Band performed.
Hot chocolate and cookies were available, and parking was free in one of the garages.
The Baltimore County Tree Lighting was from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6, at Olympic Park, at Allegheny Avenue and the traffic circle.

Refreshments were provided by Charles Village Pub, Sheraton Baltimore North Hotel, Palisades of Towson and the Towson Chamber of Commerce, according to a statement from Baltimore County about the event.

Road Closure: Allegheny Avenue was closed from Washington Avenue to the traffic circle from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday.
Tree Time: Official tree lighting was slatedfor 6:22 p.m.
Free Parking: 5 to 9 p.m. at Mid-Atlantic Properties garage, 111 Allegheny Avenue
