MD Parks Filled Early On Fourth Of July 2020: Check Status

MARYLAND — State parks are filling up Saturday morning for the Fourth of July. The Maryland Department of Natural Resources is reporting in real time what the conditions are.

By 10:30 a.m., multiple parks had closed their entrances to visitors:

• Cunningham Falls State Park is full, Maryland parks personnel reported before 10:30 a.m. No more people or vehicles may enter until further notice.
• Calvert Cliffs State Park is full, and the park is closed to new visitors until further notice, officials said before 10:30 a.m.
• North Point State Park is filled to capacity and can't accept new visitors until further notice, Maryland State Parks reported after 10 a.m.
• The Patapsco Avalon area is full and nobody else may enter, authorities reported before 9:45 a.m.
• The Patapsco Hollofield area is full, Maryland State Parks reported after 9:30 a.m.
• Greenbrier State Park is at capacity and closed to new entrants after 9 a.m.
