Another ATM Skimming Device Located in NH
A customer reported a suspicious vehicle, man tampering with a St. Mary's Bank machine in the Queen City on Sunday.

MANCHESTER, NH - Police in Manchester are trying to find out who placed a skimming device on an ATM machine on McGregor Street in the Queen City this weekend.
According to a report from police, an alert citizen reportedly saw a suspicious vehicle near the St. Mary’s Bank ATM on April 10, 2016, at around 4 p.m. in the afternoon.
“The customer used the ATM, located at 200 McGregor St., when she noticed a newer model sedan parked nearby,” according to Lt. Brian O’Keefe of the Manchester Police Department. “She stated three men were seated in the vehicle which was parked in the bank parking lot.”

The woman noticed the sedan pull up to the ATM after she completed her transaction. One of the occupants of the vehicle began “tampering” with the machine so she called police.
An officer responded and determined that the ATM had been tampered with, according to O’Keefe. A detective arrived and then disabled the electronic skimming device.

“The device typically utilizes a pinhole camera which reads the users PIN number,” O’Keefe noted. “It also contains batteries and a SIM card, which records the card numbers and account associated with the user.”
St. Mary’s management was notified about the incident. It’s unknown at post time whether or not anyone was adversely affected by the scam.
At least two other skimmers have been found in the area during the last two months, according to police alerts. Police in Salem found one installed on an ATM machine located at a gas station. A little more than a week later, Methuen MA Police reported that ATM security cameras a man reportedly installing a skimmer on a TD Bank machine.
