​Illegal Alien Pleads Guilty to Re-Entering U.S. After Being Deported

Salvador Lopez-Hernandez​ of Honduras was caught by ICE in June and was previously deported in the past.

CONCORD, NH — An illegal alien from Honduras has pleaded guilty to re-entering the United States after previously being deported, according to a press statement from United States Attorney Emily Gray Rice. Salvador Lopez-Hernandez, of Honduras, was sentenced to 8 months in prison after pleading guilty, on Aug. 16, 2016, to illegally re-entering the U.S.

Silva-Hernandez, according to the statement, was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement Deportation Officers on June 15, after they developed information that Lopez-Hernandez was present in the United States after having been deported on one previous occasion.

Silva-Hernandez faces likely deportation after serving his sentence, she noted.

The case was investigated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Assistant U.S. Attorney Alfred Rubega prosecuted this case.
