Man Found Dead Inside Homeless Camp Tent Off Fort Eddy Road In Concord: Updated
Video: Concord police are investigating the death of a man found near the Exit 1 interchange with I-393 and Fort Eddy Road on Friday night.
CONCORD, NH — Concord police are investigating a man found dead inside a homeless camp tent off Fort Eddy Road on Friday night.
Limited information is available at the time of the post, but just before 7:15 p.m., dispatchers spoke to a caller who reported they went to check on a relative at their campsite and found another man dead inside the tent in the area. Police said the campsite was near Planet Fitness, while fire dispatch said the tent was near Grappone Drive. The witness was reportedly in a U-Haul truck.

Police and firefighters later found the tent on the land east of Planet Fitness and across the street from Alosa’s, north of Fort Eddy Road and south of Interstate 393, before the eastbound Exit 1 onramp. A medical technician, about 5 minutes after arriving, confirmed the man was dead.

Officers requested lighting for the area, citing low visibility around the site. Officers also could not identify the man and requested information about tattoos and other identifiers so they could match any to the man in the tent.
News 603 posted a video on Facebook of the police attempting to find the campsite.

Police were also sent to the Meadowbrook Apartments on Fisherville Road to investigate a report of a man who reportedly went to the apartment of his ex-girlfriend, to pick up some of his belongings, and claimed when he arrived, she pulled a gun on him, according to scanner chatter.
Around 8 p.m., the officers met with the woman and checked out her apartment, according to scanner chatter. About 15 minutes later, most of the officers cleared the scene.
