Firefighters Combat Blaze At Fairfield Auto Lot ... Again

Fairfield, NJ – Fairfield firefighters responded to a multi-vehicle blaze at an auto auction lot on Route 46 Thursday, the third time that a serious fire incident has been reported there in the space of a year.
According to the Fairfield Fire Department, crews responded to Skyline Auto Auction at 100 Route 46 East on June 2, where they extinguished multiple vehicles, including a small bus.

The auto auction lot was the site of two other serious fires over the past year.
In October of 2015, firefighters spent two hours combatting a blaze at the lot that torched nearly 20 cars.

In February, a multi-vehicle blaze set fire to live wires and destroyed several cars.
