Police Recover Body From The Palisades Interstate Park, Will Not Confirm It Is Missing Paramus Man
Colin Everett, 24, went missing days ago. Police tracked his phone and car to the park.
An autopsy will be performed on a victim's body recovered from the Palisades Interstate Park Thursday after police searched the area for hours.
There is no confirmation that the body is that of Colin Everett, 24, a Paramus man reported missing last week whose car and phone were tracked to the park's State Line Lookout, said Palisades Interstate Park police.
The Bergen County medical examiner will perform the autopsy to determine the cause of death, police said.

A body was found a quarter of a mile away from the lookout on a ledge above the cliff base that police couldn't access, authorities said.
Members of the park's Regional Rappel Response team responded and tried to remove the body, but also couldn't get to it, police said.
Two Marine units brought fire and police personnel to the scene; it took them hours to hike to the body and get it down to the boats, officials said.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and the body was transported to the Englewood Boat Basin at 7 p.m., police said. Authorities could not positively identify the victim and additional forensic examinations were needed. The circumstances surrounding the victim's death do not appear to be suspicious, police said.
The point at which police said the victim allegedly fell was in a remote area of the lookout, past a fence and man-made trail that are closed to the public, police said.
Authorities estimated that the victim was at the location for "several days."
Detectives will work with the Paramus Police Department on a possible identification, but, police said, there was no confirmation Thursday night that the body was Everett's.
