Truck Ignites Into Flames Inside Hillsborough Building
This is the fourth multi-alarm fire in the past nine days for Hillsborough's Station 37.
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Hillsborough firefighters were at it again this week battling a truck fire inside of a township commercial building on Thursday night.
On Thursday at around 7:11 p.m., a call came in about smoke coming from Allied Oil Company at 25 Old Camplain Road in Hillsborough, said Hillsborough Police Sgt. Robert Meszaros.
When police officers got to the building they saw a large amount of smoke billowing out from the roof. Firefighters found that a truck inside the building was on fire.

Due to the fact that there was a fleet of oil transport trucks on the premises, a 2nd alarm was called on the fire, according to Station 37 Fire.
Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control and the smoke was vented out of the building. The truck suffered significant damage and the building suffered minor damage said police.

The fire was investigated by the Hillsborough Township Police Department and the Hillsborough
Township Fire Safety Bureau. The fire was not believed to be suspicious in nature at this time; however, the investigation is continuing, said police.
The building was condemned by the Hillsborough Building Department until further notice.
The following agencies responded to the scene: Hillsborough Police Department, Hillsborough OEM, Hillsborough Building Department, and PSE&G.
In addition, the following fire departments responded to the scene: Hillsborough Fire Stations 37 and 38, Flagtown Fire 36, Millstone Valley Fire Dept., Elizabeth Avenue Fire Dept., Somerville Fire Dept., Manville Fire Dept., Raritan Borough Fire Dept., Finderne Fire Dept., Neshanic Station Fire Dept., Somerset Fire & Rescue, Robert Wood Johnson EMS, Bradley Gardens EMS, and Somerset County Fire & EMS coordinators. Standby departments were Bradley Gardens Fire Dept., Bound Brook Fire Dept., and Montgomery Fire Dept. #1.

Last week, Station 37 also went out to help Raritan on two separate occasions for house fires.
