Former Student Charged In Rutgers Stabbing Attack: Police

A Mountainside man was arrested with four counts in relation to Friday's stabbing attack.

PISCATAWAY, NJ— A former student was charged in connection to Friday's stabbing attack at Rutgers Business School that injured two.

Joshua S. Thompson, 25, of Mountainside, was charged with with two counts of attempted murder, possession of a weapon (knives) for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon (knives) for allegedly stabbing two.

Thompson allegedly entered an office in the business school around 2:30 PM on Friday, where he is accused of attacking a student and a faculty member with a knife.

The two victims, and Thompson remain hospitalized at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Thompson's injuries were self-inflicted.

Thompson's bail has been set at $1 million.
