Hillary Clinton offered her concession speech Wednesday morning after losing to president-elect Donald Trump following a dramatic election night.
Clinton planned to deliver either a concession speech or a victory to her supporters Tuesday night after a long, exhausting Election Day in New York City, but in an odd move at 2 a.m., Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta said several states were too close to call and the Democratic nominee would not speak to her supporters at the Javits Center as planned. He encouraged supporters to go home, saying, “We’ll have more to say tomorrow."
Less than 30 minutes later, CNN reported that Clinton had conceded to Trump in a phone call.
Clinton's election night party officially began at 6 p.m. EST at the Javits Center in Manhattan.
Below are live updates from the evening at Clinton's event.

8 p.m.
While Hillary watches election results roll in at the luxury Peninsula hotel a short drive east, a huge, clamoring line of her supporters has built up around the Javits Center, with heavy security nearby. It doesn't appear anyone has been let into the building yet.

Libby Stadstad, 28 — pictured below — says she's beyond excited. She's here to "see history," she says. (Her friend made her wear the pantsuit.)
Another woman in line, Manhattan resident Belina Anderson, says she hasn't lost sight of what this election could mean for women everywhere. "The fact that [Hillary's] a woman has gotten lost in the negativity of the campaign," Anderson says. "But democracy always prevails."

8:30 p.m.
There are thousands of people just chilling outside Javits right now, many without tickets, getting a little restless as they check their phones for incoming election results. High-fives all around when someone announces Hillary is winning Ohio.
One big group of giddy teen girls from Mamernick High School in Westchester, New York, leads a chant that goes "When I say 'Hill,' you say 'Yes!'" — then erupts into giggles.

9:15 p.m.
Word from Hillary's press corps is that the mood over in her room at the Peninsula isn't as celebratory as she (and her supporters) may have wished it would be this far into the night. The crowd at the Javits Center is looking pretty tense at this point, too. Guys: Trump is like, not losing. He's not winning, but he's not losing yet, either. Could this have something to do with Hillary's team abruptly calling off a fireworks show it had planned over the Hudson River for election night?
So the mood here at HRC HQ as every one of these swing states remains razor thin... is uneasy.

The voters there know what Trump is; they know what they're voting for, and they're doing it anyway. How does our society hold together? 2/

The New York Times just predicted Trump will win the presidency. Team Trump is grinning ear to ear.

In fact, it seems the only person at Javits still smiling is New York Sen. Chuck Schumer, who was just re-elected to his seat representing New York City.

The crowd outside Javits — consisting of hundreds of Hillary supporters who couldn't get a ticket last minute — is beyond demoralized. The air is quiet. Everyone is refreshing the latest FiveThirtyEight predictions on their smartphones, over and over, cringing at the prospect of bad news but needing to know regardless. "She's losing," someone says. "The end is here," says someone else.

10:45 p.m.
Khzir Khan, father of the Muslim war hero who's been campaigning for Hillary, tells the crowd at Javits: "This night is going to be a celebration of the goodness of this country." He's filling the sixth speaking spot at Hillary's event so far tonight. And like the other speakers — including Katy Perry, Schumer, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio and the mothers of three black American men killed by police officers — Khan is clearly trying to maintain a sense of calm in the face of an increasingly frightening vote count playing out online and across the major TV news networks as the night wears on.
11:05 p.m.
A huge inspirational video on Hillary and gender equality in America is playing like a sick joke over the heads of a stupefied crowd at Javits. Back at the Peninsula hotel, though, Politico reports that "Team Clinton has gone completely dark. No responses."
The crowd over at the Hilton is elated. Here's a live stream of them cackling with joy as each new state is called for Trump, if you want to torture yourself some more.

People are straight up breaking into tears at Javits — among them "multiple low-level Hillary Clinton staff," according to New York Daily News reporter Cameron Joseph.

It appears a crowd of hundreds, if not thousands, of silent mourners are showing up to Times Square to watch Election Day's final results roll in on a giant screen. It's one of the eeriest New York scenes we've seen in a long while.

2 a.m.
Multiple news outlets are reporting that John Podesta, the chairman of Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign, is headed to the Javits Center right now — sans the candidate — to speak in her place. It's unclear what Podesta plans to say.
2:05 a.m.
Podesta just told the nation that the Clinton campaign will not concede just yet.
"I know you've been here a long time... but we can wait a little longer, can't we?" he told the wilting crowd at Javits Center.
"We're not going to have anymore to say tonight," Podesta said. The campaign will wait until more votes are counted, he said, and more states are definitely called in favor of one candidate or the other. "We should get some sleep," he said. "We'll have more to say tomorrow."
And of the candidate herself, Podesta added: "We are so proud of her. She has done an amazing job, and she is not done yet."
"Let's get those votes counted, and let's bring this home," he said.
