Pair Charged in Attack That Broke Bellport Man's Jaw

The incident occurred last month after the victim confronted a group that was playing basketball on a residents-only court.

Two men have been arrested in connection with the assault of a Bellport man following a dispute at a basketball court last month.

Ryan Giffone, 23, of Deer Park, and Sean Lynch, 22, of Shirley, were arrested by officer David Verrelli Thursday night after an investigation by Fifth Precinct Crime Section officers.

According to police, a resident of the Atlantic Point apartment complex confronted a group of non-residents who were playing basketball on a court intended for residents only on Jan. 3, police said.
