Nashua Sal's Pizza Owner Killed in Crash

The owner of Sal's Pizza in Nashua and Merrimack was killed in a crash on the Everett Turnpike in Bedford on Tuesday.

NASHUA, NH — The owner of Sal's Pizza in Nashua was killed in a crash on the Everett Turnpike in Bedford Tuesday.

John Borrun, 47, of Litchfield, died after police said he was traveling on the southbound side of the highway when he lost control of his sport utility vehicle. Burron and a female passenger were thrown from the vehicle as it rolled several times, police said.

Borrun was transported to Elliot Hospital in Manchester, where he was pronounced dead. The passenger, identified as Sarah Deering, 22, of Auburn, was seriously hurt but expected to survive, police said.

Witnesses told police said the vehicle was traveling at a "high rate of speed" in the moments before the crash.

Borrun also owned Sal's Pizza in Merrimack.
